There are four PHP handlers available on cPanel servers : DSO, suPHP, FastCGI, CGI<\/p>\n
The below command will list all the available handlers on the server :<\/p>\n
COMMAND : \/usr\/local\/cpanel\/bin\/rebuild_phpconf –available<\/p>\n
[root@server ~]# \/usr\/local\/cpanel\/bin\/rebuild_phpconf –available
\nea-php54: cgi none
\nea-php55: cgi none
\nea-php56: cgi none
\nea-php70: cgi none<\/p>\n
Run the below command to check the current PHP handler on the server<\/p>\n
COMMAND : \/usr\/local\/cpanel\/bin\/rebuild_phpconf –current<\/p>\n
[root@server ~]# \/usr\/local\/cpanel\/bin\/rebuild_phpconf –current
\nDEFAULT PHP: ea-php56
\nea-php54 SAPI: cgi
\nea-php55 SAPI: cgi
\nea-php56 SAPI: cgi
\nea-php70 SAPI: cgi<\/p>\n

On the above server you can see that CGI is the PHP handler for all PHP version and default PHP version is PHP 5.6.<\/p>\n
suPHP handler :<\/em><\/p>\n Do the below steps to install suPHP handler.<\/p>\n 1. Log into cPanel server via SSH as root<\/p>\n 2. Run the command \u201cyum install ea-apache24-mod_suphp\u201d to install suPHP on easyapache 4 server<\/p>\n 3. Login to WHM after installing \u201cea-apache24-mod_suphp\u201d package and click on \u201cMultiPHP Manager\u201d under \u201cSoftware\u201d.<\/p>\n 4. Click on \u201cPHP handlers\u201d tab<\/p>\n 5. Click on \u201cEdit\u201d under \u201cActions\u201d<\/p>\n 6. Select the suPHP handler from the dropdown<\/p>\n 7.
