To do this type the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>convert -v | head -n 1 | cut -c 22-26<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This will return a version, it might be 6.x.x or even maybe 5.x. However, the current version of ImageMagick and the most secure is 6.4.2, so assuming you aren&#8217;t using 6.4.2,\u00a0 the following is how to quickly and easily upgrade.<\/p>\n<p>You will need to determine where your ImageMagick is installed, to do this type:<\/p>\n<p>which convert<\/p>\n<p>This will return a path, on cPanel servers it&#8217;ll most likely be either \/usr\/bin\/convert or \/usr\/local\/bin\/convert. Keep this setting available as you will need it later. Please remember however, you only want to use \/usr or \/usr\/local\/, do not include &#8220;bin\/convert&#8221; in the path.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li> mkdir \/usrc\/src<\/li>\n<li>cd \/usr\/src<\/li>\n<li>wget ftp:\/\/ftp.imagemagick.org\/pub\/ImageMagick\/ImageMagick-6.4.2-5.tar.gz<\/li>\n<li>tar xvzf ImageMagick-6.4.2-5.tar.gz<\/li>\n<li>cd ImageMagick-6.4.2<\/li>\n<li>.\/configure &#8211;prefix=&lt;whatever path currently used&gt;<\/li>\n<li>make<\/li>\n<li>make install<\/li>\n<li>cd PerlMagick<\/li>\n<li>perl Makefile.PL<\/li>\n<li>make<\/li>\n<li>make install<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Badda bing.
